This film reflects on the violence inflicted upon mice in biomedical pain research. It begins with academic descriptions of experimental procedures and gradually shifts to a first-person narrative of a scientist’s psychological disturbance after repeated dissections. As the boundary between perpetrator and victim blurs, the scientist begins to perceive their own body subjected to violence of similar nature. This project invites contemplation on the ethical and emotional complexities of scientific research and prompts broader questions about how humans engage with life, death, violence, and pain.
